EDIT: The boot time for ubuntu is unbelievable! WTF Magic is this?!

Yes it's exagear, we have been working with them for a while on this. Boot speed is mostly down to a very efficient kernel and the increased speed of the eMMC disk.

this is awesome!
Which Linux kernel does it ship with?
Bests!

It's 3.10

Very intrigued by this machine, I must admit.

I would like to use it as a (very compact) Linux workstation to carry between work and home.

Things I usually run: development tools (gcc, etc.), system administration, productivity (LibreOffice) and Web browser (Firefox usually), and photography processing (Picasa and Canon DPP at the moment).
Also, video playback (VLC) is often used.

Could I have swap and journaling disabled, for less wear and tear of the MMC? Is it worth it?

Hi Andy,

I'd like to know more about the Mali-T764 GPU support in the default installation.

What driver is used?
Does it support hardware video decoding?

Forgot to ask, does it support Flash in Web sites like Youtube, or only HTML5?

Also, would it be possible to have dual-boot capability between Android and Linux (or other OS)?

Cheers,
N.F.

Hi

As with Endofa above, I can only see the 'confirmed' status of my order made on 27/09. Any update will be appreciated! Thanks :D

Any updates on the project?

Is it ready for 'production time'?

I have also place an order from them in september, asked for a tracking number two weeks ago, no reply. Sent a follow up email a week later and no reply. Tried calling many times but not answer. Paid for DHL express shipping and still hasn't arrived more than two weeks later.

EDIT: I can confirm I have received this order but as yet have not heard back from cloudsto has anyone been able to be in contact with them

NOT HAPPY, DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

do you have an order # for cloudsto to assist you with this issue?

Is the GPU (3D acceleration and video decoding) working on this unit? If yes, I'm definitely buying it!

For anyone wondering I would like to confirm that not much works on these devices and they are terrible, after reading what was posted on the forum after I placed my order I tried to contact cloudsto to change my order to and Android unit but never answered any calls or emails I would stay away untill they offer updates.

Sorry for the bad mouthing
