A GUI tool for flashing kernel image under Linux

I created a GUI tool for flashing kernel images (or any image files) to rk3066/rk3188 base devices under Linux. It provides no more function than the existing rkflashtool_rk3066 program except that it's GUI based.

Great :D , thanks for make this, if you can add the posibility of make a backup of the existing partitions it will be cool.

Great work.

rkflashkit version 0.1.1 was released. Change log:

Release 0.1.1:
* Sticky scrollbar in log view: when appending logs keep scrollbar at the bottom if it's already there.
* Partition backup function.
* Validation for flashing image file to partition.
* Compare a partition with any image file.
* Colored log messages.

Release 0.1.0:
* Initial import.

Wow! Very nice, simple instructions (for us non code writing types) and brilliant interface. Thank you for giving us this and your time to put it together.

So, I'm trying to flash Picuntu 4.5 to my MK802IV using Ubunut. rkflashkit only shows the boot NAND and the kernel NAND. I can't push the system.img since it never shows up in rkflashkit. When it loads rkflashkit it is seeing all 3

CMDLINE: initrd=0x62000000,0x00800000 init=/sbin/init root=/dev/mtdblock2 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00008000@0x00002000(boot),0x00008000@0x0000A000(kernel),-@0x00012000(system)

Any advice?

I've tried to figure out rkflashtool but its all about devices running Android and my MK802IV LE doesn't have a recovery or backup partition that I can find so none of the examples seem to work.

Thanks!

So, I'm unable to flash the 'system' NAND using rkflashkit. It runs and see's the partitions but its never available in the drop down menu.

CMDLINE: initrd=0x62000000,0x00800000 init=/sbin/init root=/dev/mtdblock2 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00008000@0x00002000(boot),0x00008000@0x0000A000(kernel),-@0x00012000(system)

The only options I see are 'boot' and 'kernel'. I never can get a drop down for 'system' and so I can't reflash it.

How can I flash my device using Linux only? I don't have a recovery partition and all the directions I've found online for rkflashtool talk about Android and recovery partitions.

Any help or suggestions would be great.
